Kansas City Vascular Institute is dedicated to providing top-tier vascular care through leading-edge techniques and compassionate patient support. We are seeking an experienced candidate for the position of a vascular sonographer in our outpatient vascular clinic.

Position Overview:

As a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist at Kansas City Vascular Institute, you will play a critical role in the care continuum for our vascular patients. We are seeking a patient centered, self-driven, motivated Vascular Ultrasound Technologist who is committed to providing exceptional patient care in sonography.

To be successful, you will need to be able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, task oriented, resourceful, and possess strong communication skills.

Shift details: Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

No nights, holidays, or weekends.

No call.

Same day shift pick up on a non-scheduled day earns incentive pay.

Opportunity for additional hours to cover for peers.

Qualifications

  • Completed education required to obtain a license to practice as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist in the state of employment.
  • Vascular Technologist with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Has one or more years of experience as Vascular Ultrasound Technologist
  • Must have BLS Certifications.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and coworkers in a respectful, and considerate manner.
  • Implement safe and efficient procedure care to ultrasound patients within Kansas City Vascular Institutes' policies and procedures across a variety of populations and complexity of situations within the scope of practice.
  • To perform noninvasive diagnostic vascular studies using ultrasound imaging and non-imaging physiological instrumentation.
  • Recognizes normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology relevant to vascular exams.
  • Demonstrate expertise in vascular ultrasound technologist technical skills, radiological equipment & safety, image acquisition, transferring and archiving of images, troubleshooting equipment, and use of all imaging equipment utilized in the Clinic.
  • Maintain Ultrasound equipment and perform testing and/or quality control procedures.
  • Review, edit, correct and validate PACS to ensure accurate patient procedure image labeling for ultrasound exams on a daily basis.
  • Systematically and continuously collect, assess and document data in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to provide procedural care for the patient. Documentation of the procedure and medical care during procedure will require basic computer skills to complete EMR.
  • Other duties as assigned, subject to applicable Rules and Regulations in the State of Kansas.
